Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Installation & Services Manager to join our dynamic audiovisual (AV) company. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in leading diverse teams, managing complex projects, and fostering client relationships across multiple locations. This individual must possess strong leadership, technical expertise, and financial acumen to drive growth and ensure the successful execution of regional operations.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership and Team Management
Lead, mentor, and manage teams, fostering a high-performance culture.
Motivate employees, address performance challenges, and resolve conflicts to maintain a positive work environment.
Develop and implement training initiatives to enhance technical and leadership skills.
Project Management
Oversee multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to client requirements.
Allocate resources effectively, manage schedules, and coordinate with stakeholders to maintain project momentum.
Ensure project completion within budget while meeting quality and compliance standards.
Team Scheduling and Resource Assignments
Develop and manage team schedules, ensuring adequate resource coverage for all projects and service commitments.
Monitor workload distribution and adjust assignments to optimize team productivity and efficiency.
Technical Expertise
Provide oversight for AV system installations, integrations, and troubleshooting.
Stay up to date with emerging AV technologies, including video conferencing systems, display solutions, and control systems.
Serve as the escalation point for complex technical issues, guiding teams through advanced troubleshooting.
Customer and Stakeholder Engagement
Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, acting as the primary regional point of contact.
Address client concerns and provide expert advice to ensure high levels of satisfaction.
Collaborate with other departments to deliver seamless customer experiences.
Budgeting and Financial Management
Develop and manage regional budgets, forecasts, and financial reports.
Monitor project financials, ensuring cost controls are in place and financial goals are achieved.
Quality Assurance
Implement and enforce quality control processes to ensure high standards of project delivery.
Conduct detailed quality checks and system testing to verify compliance with specifications and safety standards.
Strategic Planning and Innovation
Contribute to the development of growth strategies and operational improvements.
Identify opportunities for innovation and process optimization to enhance service delivery.
Qualifications and Skills
Experience Requirements:
7+ years of experience in the audiovisual industry, including roles in Project Management and Team Leadership.
Relevant certifications such as AVIXA CTS, CTS-I, CTS-D, PMI PMP, or manufacturer-specific training preferred.
Proven ability to lead and manage diverse teams across multiple locations.
Strong technical knowledge of AV system integration, service, and troubleshooting.
Exceptional project management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
Strong customer-facing communication and relationship management abilities.
Budgeting and financial management experience.
Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
Ability to work independently and make informed decisions under pressure.
Commitment to continuous improvement and professional development
Other Requirements:
Valid Class 5 Drivers license
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, work on ladders, and perform tasks at height or in crawl spaces.
An iPhone or Andriod smartphone with/ cellular data
Project management (Scheduling, Planning, Stakeholder communication)
Google Apps (Gmail, Calendar, Sheets, Docs)
Steel toe-over-ankle boots
Travel Requirements:
Ability to travel out of town - Typical 1 week/month
Locally - Our projects take place across the Lower Mainland and project locations vary
